Things get weird at the Brisbane Arts Theatre for Wyrd Sisters

Discworld is coming life, jumping off the page and onto the stage with Wyrd Sisters at the Brisbane Arts Theatre.

British novelist Sir Terry Pratchett is one of the world’s most-loved authors thanks to his stellar Discworld series. Fans of the books should be interested to hear that Sir Terry’s sixth Discworld novel, Wyrd Sisters, has been adapted for the stage and will be playing at the Brisbane Arts Theatre from Saturday November 8.

Wyrd Sisters draws reference from William Shakespeare, borrowing themes from Macbeth, so you know it will fit nicely on stage. The story itself involves royal intrigue, betrayal, and magic – a riveting story for readers of the books or newcomers to the Discworld mythos. Despite the fantastical elements, Wyrd Sisters is not suitable for young children. Call the babysitter, but just make sure you don’t leave your little one with three suspicious looking witches.
