Mum’s the word on this Secret Cinema

After sold out runs in Sydney and Melbourne, the World Movies Secret Cinema is making its Brisbane debut as part of the Asia Pacific Film Festival.

Although details are very hush-hush, there are a few tidbits to share regarding a top secret event taking place in December. The Asia Pacific Film Festival is retuning to Brisbane for 2014 and is bringing with it the debut of the World Movies Secret Cinema. After successful runs in Sydney and Melbourne, the Secret Cinema is making its way to Brisbane for a ‘roaring twenties’-themed theatre extravaganza, established in a mystery location somewhere around town.

Over four nights from December 11 to 14, this secret location will be screening an acclaimed film, along with entertainment and food and drink on arrival. A mystery meeting point is revealed by SMS, and from there directions to the secret cinema will be provided. All of the other details are being kept secret, but you can still purchase tickets for $55 from QTix.

The Brisbane Asis Pacific Film Festival will be running from November 29 to December 12 at the Palace Barracks, the GOMA Cinémathèque, Sunnybank Hoyts and many other locations across Brisbane. Have a look at the program here.
