Wonderland Food Market sizzles as hot as the stage productions
As the highly anticipated showcase of theatre, cabaret and comedy takes over the Brisbane Powerhouse from December 3–20, Wonderland will also host a spectacular food market for patrons to enjoy.
Jan Power’s Farmers markets are some of Brisbane’s most successful weekend destinations, known for bringing together an excellent range of food and produce vendors. Throughout the Wonderland Festival, the Powerhouse Markets will become a permanent fixture from Thursday to Sunday, showcasing a handpicked selection of providores. Vendors hawking their goods at the Wonderland Food Markets include Gozleme Turkish, Zagyoza, Diego’s Drop, She Bangs, My Latin Kitchen, Brathaus, Popcorn Man and more. Bar Alto will be providing the beverages with a pop-up bar. The Suitcase Rummage will also be hosting three special Saturday markets during Wonderland on December 5, 12 and 19, selling a range of vintage goods, handmade treasures and locally designed accessories.
Mixed in with the market stalls are the Bamboozled performance tents, which will offer a wide-ranging menu of bite-sized entertainment for Wonderland Food Market wanderers. The two tents – The Rastelli and The Little Palais – will host 20 minute performances between 6:00–10:00 pm Thursday to Sunday. Head to the Brisbane Powerhouse website to read up on the bite-sized performances and ticket costs.
