Women in Voice inspires at the Judith Wright Centre

Five women with incredible voices will take the stage at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts for a series of moving performances.

The Women in Voice series has been growing from strength to strength over the years, showcasing the inspiring talents of female performers from all walks of life. This vocal cabaret institution has been operating for more than a decade and past performances have included the likes of Chrissie Amphlett, Katie Noonan, Kate Miller-Heidke and many more talented women. From October 15–24, five women will undertake a series of nightly performances that will make music fans laugh, cry and experience all emotions in between.

For the 2015 edition of Women in Voice, event organisers have outdone themselves by bringing together a group of women with varied styles, personalities and stories. Theatrical-pop chanteuse Emma Dean from Emma and the Hungry Truth will be performing alongside rock icon Carol Lloyd from Carol Lloyd & Railroad Gin, world music singer Yani and powerful songstress Alison St Ledger. The MC for the show is Jan van de Stool, the alter ego of comedienne Queenie van de Zandt. Head to the Judith Wright Centre website to purchase your tickets.
