Dream drams – Whisky Whisky returns for an afternoon of sips and snacks in Fish Lane
With its amber hue and warming nature, it’s easy to understand why whisky has been referred to as liquid sunshine. Combine that golden sip with literal sunshine, delectable eats and stellar beats, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a good time. Bringing that glorious concoction to Fish Lane on Saturday October 19 is Whisky Whisky, offering a refreshing take on whisky appreciation for the fourth year running.
Trust us when we say this isn’t your average, musty whisky show. Whisky Whisky is back in 2024 to encourage the curious, the adventurous and the long-time drinkers to gather together over a shared love of its namesake golden elixir with guaranteed good times, delicious eats and fresh beats.
For the fourth time, Whisky Whisky will return on Saturday October 19, taking shape on Fish Lane beneath the train tracks opposite Hello Please. The two-session event comes from the creators of Brisbane-born whisky society Supping Club, a monthly casual sip session that unites both whisky lovers and learners over great chat and delicious drams.
Over two-and-a-half hours, guests will be spoiled for choice with more than 100 whiskies to sample, with 30 sought-after Australian and international whisky brands pouring their golden goods. Renowned distillers such as Cape Byron Distillery, Starward, Waubs Harbour, Highwayman, Bruichladdich, Jack Daniel’s Bonded Series, Heartwood, Bellarine and more will be tantalising taste buds, set to the soundtrack of fresh springtime beats. Each attendee will also be treated to one ‘dream dram’, giving them access to a range of rare, special or new top-shelf pours to sample on the day. If one seems like not enough (you’re not wrong), additional dream dram tokens are available for purchase to quell any whisky-induced decision anxiety.
While Whisky Whisky, as its name might suggest, is all about the love of whisky, that’s not all that’s on offer. Ticket holders will also receive a delectable lunch from the team at Hello Please, which can be washed down with beers and non-alcoholic bevs available for purchase. Competitive folk can also test their skills on the claw machine, which will be brimming with an assortment of whisky-themed prizes. Limited Whisky Whisky tickets are still available – head to our Event Guide for details.
