If you’re a dance enthusiast, you’ll be well aware of Natalie Weir; well aware that she’s an established and acclaimed choreographer, known globally for her highly physical partner work, organic movement style, and touching insight into human nature. Once again, she has applied her magic to the theatrical masterpiece, When Time Stops, performed by Queensland’s premier contemporary dance company, Expressions Dance Company.
Featuring Iain Grandage’s Helpmann Award-winning score played live on stage, When Time Stops is a haunting journey of moments in a person’s life where time seems to slow down, or even stop: a first kiss cherished, an accident avoided, a tragedy endured. The stunning performance explores moments that are intensely dramatic, personal and life-changing; moments that linger in your psyche for life, and surface now and then through a word, smell, sound or touch.
