Grow your green thumb at West Village’s gardener workshop
If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to cultivate a green thumb and tend to your garden with some extra attention, then we know of a workshop that you should add to your calendar. On Saturday February 27, West Village is digging up a wealth of plant knowledge to deliver a class that will leave you with some Costa-level gardening skills.
We’re calling it now – this is the year that you nip your bad gardening habits in the bud and stop killing your plants. We know, this is a big statement to make, but we believe in you. West Village also believes in you and, to help you treat your green babies with the TLC that they deserve, the West End precinct is hosting a special workshop to equip you with the gardening skills you need. Following a series of successful online tutorials that helped us fight boredom during the quieter months of last year, West Village’s resident gardener Amelia Valenti is bringing the virtual workshops to life with a more hands-on approach.
Armed with a spade and some soil, Amelia will reveal all about companion planting, guiding novice horticulturists through the different plant varieties that pair well based on their maintenance needs. You’ll learn all about what plants are best for your backyard and how to maintain them to their fullest potential (occasional watering won’t cut it in 2021, folks). Plus, each participant will get to make their very own herb or vegetable garden filled with species that will grow together in harmony. Tickets to this bloomin’ great event are limited so we suggest securing your spot today! Snag a golden ticket to this workshop here.
