Join the community party at the West End Festival
Dig deep into your costume draws and put on your happy face to celebrate a week of special community events in West End.
The West End Festival is an initiative under the umbrella of the West End Community Association (WECA) and a partnership with local community organisations bringing film, live music, theatre, politics and visual arts to multiple venues around the southside suburb. The week will commence with the eighth annual Kurilpa Derby on Sunday October 25 where bikes, skates, billy carts and wheelie bins wind their way around West End in a glorious street parade.
The week will continue with events like the Beggars Banquet, Jungle Luau and Rum Tease, and conclude with Fiesta Latina on Sunday October 31, a street party organised by the Latin community. Head down to West End over the next week to this free community festival that acknowledges the vibrancy and diversity of this wonderfully eclectic location.
