After celebrating its 21st incarnation last year, you’d best believe that Valley Fiesta has further upped the ante with this year’s offering. This is the first time that the festivities will be spread over five days, meaning that there will be a unprecedentedly huge roster of entertainment on offer. More than 40 venues (as well as the Valley’s various nooks and crannies) will be coming alive with music, performances, food, workshops and visual arts in a true feast for the senses. This year also sees the Valley Fiesta become home to three distinct laneway parties – Bakery Lane, Winn Lane and the inaugural Greaser laneway party will be kicking the vibes up to the max with live tunes, pop-up bars and good times guaranteed. Oh, and did we mention Fiesta is closing with a 4ZZZ tropical rooftop soiree at the Chinatown Carpark?

With five days to fill, you’d better believe Valley Fiesta is packed with highlights this year. Brunswick Street Mall will be playing host to the Main Ring, a pop-up stage providing daily entertainment throughout Fiesta – keep an eye out for headliners Le Coup Cabaret, a high-flying circus extravaganza from Brisbane’s own Company 2. Digi Youth Arts will be presenting its visual storytelling performance All That Remains, you can catch an immersive glimpse into the city’s convict past at The Ballad of Rosie Quinn, and even scope The Ironing Maidens’ kooky mash-up of domestic chores and cutting-edge electro tunes. All of this goodness is brought to you by Brisbane City Council, meaning that it’s totally free (score!).
