UTA UBER KOOL JA at Judith Wright Centre

Uta Uber Kool Ja dazzles at Judith Wright Centre

Set in a chic penthouse apartment atop the Judith Wright Centre, Uta Uber Kool Ja is a hilarious display of immersive theatre.

An intimate evening with only 35 audience members permitted at each show, Uta Uber Kool Ja is a tongue-in-cheek biography of tragic fallen fashionista/feminist/pop star/exhibitionist/rock star, Uta. The setting is a rocking hotel after-after party, where champagne is dosed out to Uta’s beloved guests (aka the audience), before she bares all, tell secrets and ask for some in return.

Performed by Army of Love’s Georgina Symes and Nic Dorward, Uta Uber Kool Ja delivers frivolity, sequins, dress-ups (and downs) and the expected spot of lounge-room dance moves. This engaging performance was the winner of the John Chataway Innovation Award at the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival and is running May 8–18 at the Judith Wright Centre in Fortitude Valley.
