Cork, Culinary & Colour returns for an afternoon of painting, sipping and snacking under the sun
Friends, good food and a fun activity – these are the winning ingredients of an afternoon well spent. Oh, and of course, we can’t forget wine. One happening that’s guaranteed to have all of the aforementioned is Treasury Brisbane’s Cork, Culinary & Colour event, which will see the Treasury Hotel Courtyard transformed into a garden-party-style studio on Sunday July 31. Before you grab the Warhol to your Basquiat, let us paint you a pretty picture of what this art-filled afternoon looks like.
You don’t have to be a Monet in the making to enjoy a paint-and-sip session. Treasury Brisbane’s Cork, Culinary & Colour event is open to artists of all skill levels, with the creative soiree boasting everything you need to create your very own masterpiece. First, you’ll be greeted with a glass of Wynn’s Coonawarra Estate upon arrival to the heritage open-air courtyard, then it’s time to find your seat and pick up your paintbrush. You’ll also get your own easel and paint to create a Wine Country-themed painting– so all you have to do is get the creative juices flowing!
Helpful instructions will be provided by the talented team from Cork & Chroma, who will help take you from amateur to Picasso in no time (well, as close as possible, anyway). In addition to satisfying your appetite for art, you’ll be satiated properly with a decadent cheese plate to nibble on between brush strokes.
