Paint and sip Hendrick’s Gin by the water at Cork, Culinary & Colour

For those of us not blessed with natural creative ability, sometimes it takes a little Dutch courage to get our artistic energy flowing. If you’re feeling the urge to express yourself, ditch the at-home craft kit and head to Will & Flow on Sunday May 28. You can bask in the sun, inspired by the gentle ebb and flow of the river, and paint, sip and nibble the afternoon away.

Whether you’re artistically challenged (same) or a paint-slinging weapon, don your aprons and straighten your easel for Will & Flow’s special edition of Cork, Culinary & Colour, in partnership with Hendrick’s Gin. Perched on the deck of the perfectly positioned overwater bar, budding artists will be treated to a personal spread of cheese and antipasto, accompanied by two Hendrick’s Gin cocktails. As you sip and snack, Brisbane-based studio Cork & Chroma will guide you through a two-hour painting session, with the sparkling Brisbane River, South Bank and city skyline as your backdrop. The artwork you will be creating is titled ‘River City Sunset’ – a work of art that replicates the orange hues of the much-loved golden hour at Will & Flow.

The arty afternoon runs from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, with attendees invited to stick around post-event to peruse the day’s work as live music fills the air and flavoursome woodfired pizzas feed the hungry artists. Also, a cash bar will be open and pouring for guests to purchase additional drinks and sip merrily as the sun sets over the river.

Tickets to Cork, Culinary & Colour are $90 and can be purchased here.
