Homegrown sips will take centre stage at Treasury Brisbane’s all-Australian wine and cheese soiree

Wine is the tipple of choice when the mercury begins to dip below 20 degrees (heck, any weather calls for a glass of the good stuff), so we are pretty grateful that Australia is sprinkled with top-notch grape-juice makers. These homegrown wineries will bask in the limelight on Friday June 25 when Treasury Brisbane comes alive with beats, eats and tipples for Wine & Cheese – Australian Edition. If you’re eager to sip and snack under the stars then read on to discover more about this enchanting event …

A bewitching bevy of homegrown sips will be showcased at Treasury Brisbane’s Wine & Cheese – Australian Edition, which will take oenophiles on a journey through Australia’s renowned winery regions including the Margaret River, Barossa Valley, Yarra Valley, Hunter Valley and Coonawarra. You’ll be able to taste a sumptuous selection of Australian red, white and sparkling wines from makers including Penfold’s, Chandon, Pierro, Leeuwin Estate, Cullen Wines, Brokenwood, Petaluma and more. So you can delve deeper into the drops, tasting notes will be provided by Brokenwood winemaker Kate Sturgess.

The festivities don’t stop at the stellar taste-testing. Event-goers will also be able to enjoy two hours of cheese and antipasto bites, which will be spread between the Treasury Courtyard, Ryan’s on the Park and The Lab. To keep you entertained, a band will be filling the air with live tunes while you cosy up with a fine Australian-made vino.
