Say sayonara to 2020 at Treasury Brisbane’s stellar New Year’s Eve soirees

Most people are looking forward to Christmas around this time of year, but if you’re anything like us, you’ve got your eyes (and heart) set on New Year’s Eve. Although the sky won’t be full of fireworks this year, there are still a bunch of sparkling affairs happening around town, with some of the best courtesy of Treasury Brisbane. From riverside parties at the city’s new overwater bar to Asian-inspired feasts at much-loved inner-city eateries – there’s plenty to keep you entertained whilst you wait for the clock to strike midnight.

New Year’s Eve is always the biggest party of the year, but we think this December 31 is a contender for the biggest one yet. If you want to celebrate in style this year (we think you deserve it), then Treasury Brisbane has plenty on the cards to help you commemorate the crazy year that was 2020. If riverside drinks and tantalising tapas sounds like it would float your boat, then Will & Flow’s New Year’s soiree under the stars is the perfect place to perch up. This party under the sparkling night sky will see revellers indulge in a four-hour sips and snacks package featuring premium beverages (think Moët Ice Champagne and a sumptuous selection of spritz), mouth-watering canapes, and some seriously killer entertainment. Plus, you even get free transport back to Treasury Brisbane so you can continue celebrating after the clock strikes 12:00 am!

Lovers of Asian-inspired goodies can take their tastebuds on a trip to Fat Noodle this New Year’s Eve, where they can indulge in a three-hour dining and drinks package featuring a selection of Luke Nguyen’s street eats paired with house beers, wines and spirits. The flavoursome menu will see snackers dig in to satay chicken skewers, pork skewers, vegetable spring rolls, salt-and-pepper calamari, silken tofu, chicken larb, Luke’s chicken salad, and shrimp pad Thai. To keep the good vibes going, there will be live entertainment including a DJ and an acoustic duo playing throughout the night.

If you want to celebrate New Year’s a little early (or late) then Fat Noodle is cooking up a New Year’s Banquet for Two from Tuesday December 29 all the way through to Sunday January 3, 2021. Start the new year off with a bang (and a couple of glasses of sparkling wine) and devour dishes like Thai fish cakes, Luke’s Vietnamese chicken salad, caramelised pork belly with steamed rice and tom yum lobster soup. To finish off on a high note, you can cleanse your palate with a bowl of fresh sorbet. With this feast as your first meal of the year, 2021 is already looking up.
