Explore the secrets of sisterhood in La Boite’s new production, Tiddas
This September, La Boite’s 2022 season will finish up strong with Tiddas, a co-production with QPAC and Brisbane Festival. Friendship takes centre stage in this adaptation of Anita Heiss’ best-selling novel of the same name, which focuses on five mates whose monthly meetings cover books, life, love and everything messy in between.
Coming to La Boite Theatre from September 5-24, Tiddas is a page-to-stage adaptation of Anita Heiss’ best-selling novel in a joint La Boite Theatre, QPAC and Brisbane Festival production. It follows five best friends – Izzy, Veronica, Xanthe, Nadine and Ellen – who spend their monthly book club dissecting each other’s lives with brutal honesty. However, each woman carries a complex secret and in one drama-filled weekend, everything comes to light.
Fans of the book can attend special performances where they can meet and greet with award-winning author and playwright of Tiddas, Anita Heiss. On September 13, 15, 20 and 22, you can get a copy of the novel signed by Anita before or after the show. It’s as easy as pre-ordering a copy of Tiddas as an add-on with your ticket or you can purchase the novel at any of the book signing performances from the Avid Reader pop-up stall. To grab your ticket to Tiddas, visit the La Boite website.
