Think Outside the box for Brisbane’s future

The second event in the Think Outside series will ask design thinkers how we can design Brisbane’s future identity for renewed economic prosperity.

Three knowledgeable design thinkers will assemble at the State Library of Queensland’s The Edge Auditorium from 5:30–8:00 pm next Wednesday November 5 to share their views on how Brisbane can ensure growth and prosperity as a creative city, by putting the ‘3Ts’ of economic development – technology, talent and tolerance – into practice. The Asia Pacific Design Library’s free Think Outside: Identity + Economy session is the second instalment of the Think Outside 2014 series, which encourages design experts to consider a problem outside their usual area of expertise.

Head of the Communication Design Department at the Auckland University of Technology, Dr Gjoko Muratovski, interior designer and National Aboriginal Design Agency creative director, Alison Page, and CSIRO Futures leader, Stefan Hajkowicz, will each have ten minutes to present their ideas, before the audience will be invited to share their thoughts in a final debate and discussion. Register your attendance online.
