The Weekend Edition is hosting its first (indoors) Pop-Up Picnic at King Street … and you’re invited!

What happens when The Weekend Edition gets handed the keys to King Street? An exclusive evening of fun, feasting, flowing wine and frivolity, that’s what! For the very first time The Weekend Edition is hosting a dreamy Pop-Up Picnic, and with the help of our friends at King Street and The Pine Kitchen, we’re putting on an intimate evening of escapism that you’re not going to want to miss.

For us at The Weekend Edition, weekends are meant for sleeping in, slowing down and enjoying the little moments that bring us so much joy – and this is what The Pop-Up Picnic is all about. On the balmy summer’s eve of Saturday February 24, we’re hosting a whimsical dining experience at Bowen Hills’ newest foodie precinct, King Street, allowing guests to leave the hustle and bustle of the outside world behind as they sit down to enjoy The Weekend Edition’s Summer Series Pop-Up Picnic (and don’t worry, it’s indoors!).

Tucked away within The Pine Kitchen, this intimate affair will seat 30 guests for a night of flavour, fun and flowing conversation. The Pop-Up Picnic will see guests enter a candlelit Mediterranean-inspired picnic setting, complete with Turkish rugs, plush floor cushions, lush greenery and unforgettable ambience. Welcomed with a drink on arrival, attendees will be escorted to a special picnic area and treated to a sumptuous array of Mediterranean delights – think chicken and kofta skewers, calamari, felafels, tabouleh, hummus, Lebanese bread, wine and more – and treated to the perfect evening of escapism from the day-to-day.

Only 30 seats are available for this exclusive one-night-only soiree, and they are sure to disappear fast. Secure your spot online now and get full ticketing and event details in our Event Guide – there’s only a couple of tickets left!
