The timeless tragedy of Romeo and Juliet at QPAC

The timeless tragedy of Romeo and Juliet at QPAC

Shakespeare has contributed a great deal to the arts world, but perhaps his most renowned work has been the tale of forbidden love between youngsters Romeo and Juliet.

Despite a feud that rages between their households of Montague and Capulet, the teenage Romeo and Juliet fall passionately in love. Their forbidden romance is doomed from the start and ultimately ends in tragedy, as well as a lot of tears on the part of the audience.

The Queensland Theatre Company will perform the latest re-telling of the heart-breaking story and, while Leonardo DiCaprio will unfortunately not be making an appearance, the show will surely stun audiences. The play is directed by Brisbane-based Jennifer Flowers and stars Thomas Larkin and Melanie Zanetti as the title characters.

The performance will run from April 21 to May 10 at QPAC – to avoid missing out, buy your tickets here.
