QPAC comes alive with The Sound of Music

QPAC comes alive with The Sound of Music

One of the world’s most beloved musicals is set to take centre stage at QPAC, with consummate performances by stage stars Cameron Daddo and Marina Prior.

The story of the von Trapp family is possibly one of the most re-told stories aside from the fairy-tale classics. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music has been staged countless times since the original stage production and subsequent film adaptation captured the imaginations of many, with each production bringing new elements to the magical tale. From March 11 to May 1, QPAC will be hosting the latest Australian production of The Sound of Music, with an all-star cast of performers taking on the famous roles.

Cameron Daddo will be playing the iconic role of Captain von Trapp, joined by the likes of Marina Prior as Baroness Schraeder, Jacqui Dark and Mother Abbess and Lorraine Bayly as Frau Schmidt. One of Australia’s rising stars Amy Lehpamer will be filling the role of Maria, and with a string of award and acclaimed roles under her belt she is sure to give a great performance. Be quick and grab a few tickets now or risk missing out entirely – there is no limit to the amount of times this story can be enjoyed!
