Catch The Luck Child under The Spiegeltent
By night, Brisbane Festival’s The Spiegeltent is reserved for adult-only entertainment, but by day, it’s home to family-friendly performances, including the laugh-fest that is The Luck Child.
This year, Brisbane Festival is offering a fun-filled family program to delight little ones of all ages. One of the three adventure-fuelled performances is The Luck Child, performed by one half of The Umbilical Brothers, David Collins, and directed by Jonathan Biggins. Held in the iconic The Speigeltent located in South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt, The Luck Child is a laugh-a-minute show based on an old Russian folk tale that takes the young (and young at heart) on a journey following the luckiest boy in the world, an evil king and a three-headed hound from hell.
Winner of Best Production for Children at the 2014 Adelaide Fringe Festival, The Luck Child is playing from September 22–25, and is best suited to kids aged 4–12. These school holidays, treat your little ones (and yourself) to 45 minutes of laughter, excitement and pure entertainment. Head over to Brisbane Festival’s website to secure your tickets.
