Adapting the enchanting tale of Hans Christian Andersen and combining it with the magic of Walt Disney’s classic animated film, the Ballet Theatre of Queensland brings its new production to Brisbane audiences. In The Little Mermaid, Ariel and her sisters float about in an imaginative underwater palace – with choreography as envisioned by artistic director Timothy Brown. Some of the state’s best young dancers will help to tell the story of a young mermaid who hopes to discover a world above the sea, and strikes a deal with a powerful sea witch who changes her life. Performances will run from Wednesday January 22 until Saturday January 25.
