Golden Girls was a classic comedy series that boasted strong performances from its hilarious lead actresses as well as content that pushed boundaries and broke taboos. The show wrapped up in 1992, therefore there is an entire generation of television viewers that have yet to witness the magic. As of Tuesday October 6, QPAC will host a unique theatrical production called Thank You for Being A Friend that pays homage to the hilarity and charm of Golden Girls – performed using puppets.

The roles of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia will be filled by a group of puppets yet the razor-sharp humour and classic quips will be exactly as remembered. Suitable for ages 12 and above, Thank You for Being a Friend will introduce the classic series to new fans while also tickling the nostalgia of older fans.
