Teneriffe Festival to fill the streets this Saturday

More than 100 market stalls, 40 food outlets, 25 music acts and seven fashion parades will come together to present locals with one very delicious day at the Teneriffe Festival this Saturday July 5.

From 9:00 am to 9:00 pm this Saturday July 5, the streets of Teneriffe will be teeming with more than 50,000 revellers as the fifth Teneriffe Festival bursts into Brisbane. The smells of sizzling food, the sounds of live performers and the sights of the best in local fashion will keep the punters entertained throughout the day. Dath Street will house the festival’s first farmers market, while more than 100 artisan market stalls will sprawl from the corner of Vernon Terrace and Commercial Road to Florence Street. Fill your ears with live music from 25 solo artists and bands across four stages, including a festival-first floating river stage. Headline act Darren Middleton will perform at 7:00 pm, while two riverside bars manned by Green Beacon Brewing, Newstead Brewing Co and Malt Dining will be keeping thirsts quenched.

When hunger strikes, fill your maw with the Tastes of Teneriffe by trawling the array of food stalls, local venues or the Pork, Fork & Cork pop-up in London Laneway, which will be dishing favourites from Kwan Brothers, Alfred & Constance, Limes Hotel Rooftop Bar and Cinema, Alfredo’s Pizzeria and Chester Street Bakery and Bar. Little locals will have plenty of activities to keep smiles perky, with sheep-shearing demonstrations, jumping castles and animal nurseries comprising Kids World. Check out the event program online and stay up to date on the festival’s Facebook page.
