When you imagine a day at the races, your first thought probably isn’t getting low to some Mary J. Blige while the champions speed around the track. Wouldn’t it be fun, though? If this scenario sounds like your idea of a summer day well spent, we have some news that is bound to get you excited – the awesome combination of horses and hip-hop are about to be fused together for one magical occasion. Marking the first raceday of the club’s season, Tattersall’s RnB Race Day is landing at Doomben Racecourse on Saturday March 3 to heat up the track in more ways than one.

The racing season in Brisbane is always hotly anticipated, and it seems the excitement for 2018’s instalment has reached fever pitch with the announcement of Tattersall’s RnB Race Day. Whether you’re a racing die-hard or have never stepped foot near the track, this landmark event is the perfect blend of trackside action and straight-up party vibes. Tattersall’s has managed to integrate a full program of live RnB entertainment alongside a premier nine-race program, as well as a host of exciting pop-up activations and spaces for the day.

So what can you expect to see at Doomben when Tattersall’s RnB Race Day takes over the tracks? First and foremost, the jam-packed premier racing program will ensure the track is full of action all day long, with plenty of opportunities to have a punt if that’s your thing. Off the track, DJ Travis (also known as the King of RnB) will be spinning the hottest hip-hop tracks to keep the vibe sky high. Attendees can get a groove on while checking out the Carlton Mid Meeting Place and Great Northern pop up bar on the public lawn, as well as the Stella Artois bar in the Members’ Area, plus the G.H.Mumm area in the Members’ Indoor Bar Area. DJ Horizon from Mushroom Music will be kicking off an after party set on the Public Lawn so be sure to stick around after the final race!

Ready to giddy up and get down? You can pre-purchase tickets to Tattersall’s RnB Race Day through Trybooking or grab tickets at the gate on the day.
