Catch live tunes and soul-soothing stories when Sunshine Sounds hits Brisbane Powerhouse

Us Brisbane folk have a lot of reasons to celebrate this summer – balmy nights, river breezes and the return of live music to our beautiful city among them. We’ve been practically skipping in the streets now that our favourite arts venues are back up and running again, including our beloved Brisbane Powerhouse. If you’ve been aching to take in some easy, breezy tunes from some of our country’s most seasoned performers, Sunshine Sounds will be your perfect reintroduction into the realm of live music.

Taking over the Powerhouse Theatre for one dreamy Sunday afternoon, Sunshine Sounds will see a trio of inimitable artists sharing music and stories that will soothe your soul. International cello sensation Louise King will be joining ARIA darling Katie Noonan, with the pair supported by Fijian-Australian songstress Andrea Kirwin. The three ladies share more than just music in common – they each hail from the heavenly Sunshine Coast and will be regaling the audience with stories of their craft and their friendship. It’s this natural candour combined with the trio’s truly unique set of musical styles that are set to make Sunshine Sounds an unmissable afternoon.

If you’re concerned about COVID safety, there’s no need to worry – the team at Brisbane Powerhouse has been working tirelessly to ensure all of its events fall in line with the government’s stringent standards. Tickets to Sunshine Sounds are being sold in groups of two, three or four to ensure that appropriate social distancing measures can be taken, so be sure that you factor this in when booking for you and your crew.

Keen to add some warmth to your life? Sunshine Sounds is happening at Brisbane Powerhouse on Sunday November 29 and tickets are available now for contactless delivery by email – snap yours up here.
