Annual street party Stones Corner Festival is back – and it has just announced a huge line-up of tunes, tipples and chews
Have you heard the word? After a two-year hiatus, Stones Corner Festival is making its big and beautiful comeback to the Logan Road strip on Sunday May 1. Teeming with refreshing brews, delicious bites and dancefloor beats from homegrown music icons, this is one street party worth making tracks to.
Clear you calendar for the Labour Day long weekend, as that’s when Stones Corner Festival makes its triumphant return, baby! Legendary Aussie party starters Sneaky Sound System will be heading up the festival’s entertainment line-up, joined by Quentin & The Tarantino’s, The Porkers, Good Will Remedy, Jollee, Full Power Happy Hour, Cheap Date and Sofia Isella. Once you’ve had a boogie, you can check out The Market Folk’s pop-up market, which will be brimming with pre-loved, handcrafted and sustainable goodies.
Hungry for more? We hope so, as there is a mouth-watering selection of food-truck fare on offer throughout the day. Of course, you can wash it all down with some refreshing tipples from more than 20 thirst-quenching booze makers like Little Creatures, 4Pines, Slipstream Brewing, Balter Brewing Company, Eumundi Brewery, Brookvale Union, Mountain Goat Beer and Green Beacon Brewing Co. Whistle-wetting favourites like Four Pillars Gin, Aperol Spritz, Your Mates Brewing Co., Heads of Noosa Brewing Co. and Better Beer will also be making their festival debut.
This year, Stones Corner Festival will be raising money for MND and Me Foundation, a charity that support Queenslanders living with Motor Neurone Disease and ongoing research of the disease. Entry is free for the festival but gold coin donations are encouraged on the day and you can enter raffles that will be helping to raise funds. A good day out for a good cause? Count us in!
