Cheers to ten years – Stone & Wood brings the party to Brisbane with its inaugural Backyard Invitational

Since 2008, the legends from Stone & Wood have been brewing up some of our country’s most beloved frothy beverages. The Northern Rivers indie brewery quickly claimed a spot in the hearts of beer drinkers from far and wide, pumping out tasty concoctions at a rate that it has come to outgrow. You guys flipped out over the news that the gang would be setting up a brand-new brewery on the Brisbane side of the border, but the good news doesn’t stop there – to celebrate, the Stone & Wood gang is throwing a Backyard Invitational at its new Fortitude Valley home.

Stone & Wood’s Backyard Invitational is an event that is the first of its kind in Australia, giving lucky punters the chance to get fully immersed in the world of craft beer. Taking place at the site that will become Stone & Wood’s Brisbane brewery from mid next year, the event has been expertly curated as a dual celebration of Stone & Wood’s tenth birthday as well as our country’s thriving craft brewing scene. Other indie legends including Fixation Brewing Co., The Grifter Brewing Co., Two Birds Brewing, Modus Operandi and even local faves Green Beacon, Newstead Brewing Co. and Range Brewing will all be joining forces for an afternoon of delicious brews, tasty eats, panel discussions and all-around good times.

When it comes to action, Stone & Wood’s Backyard Invitational is absolutely stacked. Ale of a Time’s Luke Robertson will be imparting his expertise with a number of masterclasses – think wilds and sours, native Australian flavours and lager lessons, as well as a killer cheese and beer crash course with Matt Kirkegaard and Paul Wilson from Nimbin Valley Dairy. You know the Stone & Wood gang is all about making things fun, so expect a juicy live music and entertainment announcement in the coming weeks.

Tickets to both sessions of Stone & Wood’s Backyard Invitational are on sale right now – snap one up now before they all disappear! Tickets sold will also be raising funds through the company’s inGrained Foundation, so you can rest assured that you’re drinking for a cause.
