The all-mighty pandemic might have stomped out our plans of moving and grooving along to live tunes at our favourite musical festivals this year, but it can’t dampen our spirits entirely. Keeping the dream alive is Splendour in the Grass, which has just announced some key players set to headline next year’s magical music-filled shindig at North Byron Parklands from Friday July 23 to Sunday July 25, 2021.

Splendour in the Grass is celebrating its 20th birthday next year, so it’s only appropriate that this music party is going to be one to remember. Heading up the first line-up announcement is British animated band Gorillaz (replacing original headliner Flume), kicking off the celebrations on Friday July 23 with a sure-to-be killer cartoon-laced concert. New York City rockers The Strokes will be performing on Saturday July 24 and American rapper Tyler, The Creator will be making (crowd) waves on Sunday July 25. Of course, there are plenty more names to be dropped by Splendour in the coming weeks, so make sure to peep the festival’s Instagram for up-to-date announcements.

Brace yourselves as tickets are on sale now for Splendour in the Grass 2021, so head here to secure your passes and start planning your OTT outfits. If your preferred ticket type is unavailable, keep checking back during the refund window as pre-loved tickets are made available daily. All 2020 tickets will be valid for next year’s festival, so make sure to retain this year’s tickets if you wish to attend next July. Just remember your gumboots!
