Australia’s favourite winter music festival is set to return to North Byron Parklands this weekend.

It’s time to drag the tents out from under the house, dust off the gumboots and download the Splendour in the Grass app for 2015. From tomorrow, Friday July 24 to Sunday July 26, the music festival will return to North Byron Parklands, 15 minutes north of Byron Bay. Crowd favourites including Mark Ronson, Florence and the Machine, Blur, Tame Impala, Of Monsters and Men, Earl Sweatshirt, The Rubens, SeekaeEves The Behaviour and many, many more will be gracing four different stages, while The Tipi Forest will bring underground sounds and alternative beats from an array of producers and DJs.

Punters who need a breather from the music can get involved in yoga and burlesque workshops, drumming circles, dance offs and more at Global Village, or head to the Splendour Forum and Comedy Club, where you’ll find the likes of Matt Okine behind the stand-up mike, discussion panels and even a few film screenings. The Splendour Arts program will see guests making charm bracelets and dream catchers, getting involved in DIY face painting and devouring Southside Tea Room Redskin cookies and coffee at Splendour in the Craft. Check out live art installations, a giant inflatable sculpture of Nicolas Cage in a cage and landscapes constructed from sugar and glitter. Find timetables and maps online.

Those who missed out on tickets this year don’t have to miss out completely – head along to The Official Splendour Pre-Party at The Triffid tonight to catch The Dandy Warhols, Last Dinosaurs, Dune Rats and Circa Waves. Triple J will also be broadcasting live music and interviews from the festival from 12:00 pm on Friday right through to Monday morning. Alternatively, Telstra will be streaming seven hours of sets and behind-the-scenes antics from 5:00 pm to midnight on Sunday.
