Splendour in the Grass drops its huge first line-up announcement for 2018
Folks, the wait is over – the Splendour in the Grass 2018 line-up has dropped and it’s a certified doozy! The festival returns to North Byron Parklands for its 18th rendition from July 20–22 with more than 100 acts just announced in the first release. Pinch those pennies, put in your annual leave and start making a hype playlist because this is a line-up worth travelling for.
Let’s dive right in – the international headliners for the 2018 edition of Splendour in the Grass are some of the most impressive in the festival’s history. Kendrick Lamar tops the bill along with Lorde, Vampire Weekend and Khalid, with all of these acts but Kendrick making Splendour-exclusive appearances. Other global heavyweights include The Wombats, CHVRCHES, Miguel, Franz Ferdinand, MGMT and Girl Talk, making up a seriously stacked first announcement for the beloved Byron Bay festival. There is also a huge helping of local talent in the form of Hilltop Hoods, Angus & Julia Stone, Gang Of Youths, Dune Rats, The Avalanches DJ set and loads more.
General public tickets for this year’s Splendour in the Grass go on sale at 9:00 am AEST on Thursday April 19, so bookmark the ticket page and set your calendar reminder at once. Lucky ducks who attended the festival last year are privy to an exclusive pre-sale as usual, but this year there is also a Visa Checkout pre-sale option for Wednesday April 18 that you can check out here.
