Spanish Film Festival

Join Salma at the Spanish Film Festival 2012

Say ¡hola! to the onslaught of Latin flicks set to arrive in Brisbane in July for the 15th annual Spanish Film Festival. From July 11–22 the festival will be settled in at Palace Centro where you will be able to witness a range of movies from Spanish-speaking nations all over the world.

There will be 22 films shown throughout, presenting the talents of countries like Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and, of course, Spain. No matter if you prefer a good cry during a rom-com, or a fear-inducing horror movie, genres range quite dramatically to accommodate all interests.

The film festival will open with As Luck Would Have It, which was named the jewel of the Tribeca Film Festival, as well as starring the saucy Salma Hayek. The movie is about an out-of-work account executive, who suffers an accident and tries to sell his story to the highest bidder to provide for his family. The night’s screening will be followed with a fiesta of drinks, canapes and some live salsa music.

Tickets are on sale now from the Spanish Film Festival homepage.
