Rally your crew and treat your ears to some live tunes at Sounds by Starlight at Westfield Chermside this August, which is heating up the final weekends of winter. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings The Dome at Westfield Chermside will be beautifully lit up while an array of Brisbane’s best classic pop, jazz and swing musicians fill the air with groove-worthy songs from 6:00–8:00 pm. You can tap your toes and swing your hips to songs made famous by Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Ella Fitzgerald and much more!
Friday August 12 will welcome The Mood Music Swing Band to the precinct, while Saturday August 13 will see the ten-piece UQ Big Band take the stage. The final weekend of festivities kicks off on Thursday August 18 with the ten-piece Jazz Band and roaming LED performers, followed by the 23-piece UQ Big Band on Friday August 19 and The Mood Music Swing Band on Saturday August 20. Westfield Plus members with the kids in tow can keep little ones entertained with free face painting while hungry folk can indulge in a delicious dinner from one of Chermside’s many restaurants.
