Absorb Spanish sounds with SOULO Guitars at Judith Wright Centre

The sounds of flamenco conjure up romantic images of the cobblestoned streets of Spain, bustling gypsy markets and backroom jazz bars alive with passionate musicians playing beautiful arrangements on their guitar.

Queensland musicians Anthony Garcia, Aaron Hopper, Andrew Veivers and Toby Wren will transport audiences to Spain with the premiere of SOULO Guitars at Judith Wright Centre this weekend.

Combining the performers’ love of flamenco, folk, jazz and classically inspired guitar, SOULO Guitars showcases the vivacity of this popular instrument and the range of sounds and techniques it can produce under the guidance of different hands. The performance embraces the passion and virtuosity of the guitar and the musicians who play it, paying homage to the energetic sounds of Spanish flamenco.
