Sparkling sips and twilight tunes – Songs at Sunset returns to West Village for an encore evening of opera
Songs, sips and snacks – there’s only one thing missing from this winning combination and that’s a sunset. We know one event that has got all of these elements down pat, and then some – Songs at Sunset! The stellar showcase of live opera will once again be taking over West Village when it returns for an encore twilight performance in the lush surrounds of The Common on Friday October 15.
Gather the troops and prepare for an elegant evening of treats, tipples and sunset serenades at West Village, as Opera Queensland soprano Rebecca Cassidy and tenor Rosario La Spina deliver an intimate performance of opera hits. The Songs at Sunset twilight concerts will see the two singers showcase their incredible talent in a gig that will delight the seasoned opera-goer while welcoming newcomers to this magical art form.
The concert commences as the sun goes down at 6:00 pm, with the duo performing a selection of passionate arias and popular melodies. As you soak up the dulcet sounds of operatic classics, you can tuck into a mouth-watering cheese platter and share a bottle of wine or sparkling with your friends.
