Tour the Nordic at the Scandinavian Film Festival 2014

Weep, chuckle and marvel your way through the Nordic region via the inaugural Scandinavian Film Festival 2014.

Tomorrow, Friday July 11 marks the first day of your educational and emotional tour of Scandinavia as the region’s best drama, crime and comedy films come to Palace Centro Cinemas on James Street. The Scandinavian Film Festival will run in Brisbane until Sunday July 20, while also making its mark on big screens around the country throughout July. Talented filmmakers, directors and actors hailing from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland will tug on heartstrings, challenge opinions and push boundaries during the celebrated film festival.

Join the official opening gala and film tomorrow evening or don your finest 1960s threads and indulge in Cake Wines, Scandinavian cheese and live jazz, followed by a special screening of Waltz for Monica next Tuesday July 15. Films including The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared, Someone You Love, Pioneer and 21 Ways To Ruin A Marriage comprise the 2014 festival line-up, ensuring that all tastes and genres are covered. View Brisbane session times and find extra information about the event online.
