Adam Devine’s Weird Life Tour – Monday January 29 at The Tivoli
When it was announced that U.S comedian Adam Devine would be coming to our shores in 2018, we practically wet our pants with excitement. Okay, so that may be a slight exaggeration, but we were genuinely really excited to hear that the stand-up comic and Workaholics genius would be bringing his mug to our shores for the first time. Adam is doing a one-off show of his Weird Life Tour, which critics have hailed as an absolute riot – trust us when we say you won’t want to miss this one.

Disney’s Aladdin – The Musical – From February 20 at QPAC
If merely reading the title of this event didn’t immediately fill you with a sense of overwhelming joy, it’s safe to say you were robbed of a childhood. Disney’s Aladdin – The Musical has got an all-star team behind it, bringing the iconic film to life on stage in all of its original glory (and then some). You can expect to hear the songs you know and love alongside brand-new tracks from the award-winning team of Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin. When you add in the killer sets, wild choreography and world-class visual effects, you actually can’t go wrong.

Dita Von Teese The Art of the Teese – March 6 and 7 at QPAC
It’s not every day you get the chance to see a living sex symbol doing her thing, let alone in a giant martini glass. Burlesque queen and old-world dame Dita Von Teese’s live show is the sort of thing you have to see in the flesh to appreciate – the feathers, sequins and pure charm can’t be translated though a screen. Her The Art of the Teese show sees brand-new acts never before seen in Australia coming our way, as well as a host of favourite numbers.

Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour – March 14 and 14 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre
He may be small in stature, but Bruno Mars is undoubtedly one of the world’s biggest stars. The all-singing, all-dancing dude has been making us melt since back the Doo-Wops and Hooligans days, but Bruno has well and truly elevated to superstar status. The 24K Magic World Tour has been going around the globe since early 2017 and is set to touch down in Brisbane for 2018 – expect impeccable vocals, enough dancing to make you feel lazy just watching, and an unparalleled amount of pure energy.

Patricia Piccinini: Curious Affection – From March 24 at GOMA
Holy dooley, Patricia Piccinini’s work is the sort of stuff that really divides people – but there’s absolutely no denying the amount of sheer skill that goes into what she does. The world-renowned artist is best known for her weird and wonderful hybrid creatures, many of which will occupy GOMA’s entire ground floor in her most ambitious show to date. The exhibition is exclusive to GOMA and will bring together Patricia’s peculiar brand of sculpture, installation, video and sound to realise her vision inspired by science, surrealism and mythology.
