There are two things here at The Weekend Edition that we can always get behind – living a little, and dreaming a lot. We may not have the funds to drop on a brand-new Ferrari or a swish yacht, but it doesn’t hurt to entertain the possibility, right? Whether you’ve got cash to splash or are simply an admirer of all things fast and shiny, we have some news that is sure to excite you. On Sunday October 1, the Gold Coast’s premier destination for all things luxe will come alive for the Sanctuary Cove Festival, an extravaganza showcasing some of the most covetable names in the automobile and boating industries.

Coming into its third year, the Sanctuary Cove Festival is a family-friendly day out dedicated to showcasing some of the world’s most renowned luxury brands all in one gorgeous spot. Premium land and sea vehicles will be on show for the day for you to drool over – we’re talking brands such as Mercedes-BenzMaseratiBentleyLamborghiniMcLarenRolls Royce and Ferrari, as well as boating names to the tune of Horizon Motor Yachts AustraliaIntegrity Motor YachtsLeigh-Smith Yachts and Maritimo to name a few. This is one of the only times and places where you can see this much fancy stock all in one spot, so understandably it draws a crowd.

Stunning displays of shiny toys aren’t the only reason to head along to the Sanctuary Cove Festival – the event is also the perfect excuse to soak up some fun and chill weekend festival vibes. Sanctuary Cove will be hosting free live entertainment all day long, as well as plenty of goodness to keep the kids occupied – think obstacle course challenges, a trackless train and a circus skills workshop that is sure to gain you some serious brownie points. All of this activity is bound to work up an appetite, so be sure to take advantage of the precinct’s vast array of dining options and pencil in a visit to the cooking stage.

If you have a taste for the finer things in life, you can catch the free Sanctuary Cove Festival at Sanctuary Cove on Sunday October 1.
