Experience a cool change at the Riverside Gardens Market

This weekend marks a major change in the Brisbane City market scene. After 28 years at its Eagle Street riverside location, this Sunday December 6 the Riverside Markets is moving to the City Botanic Gardens.

At the rebranded Riverside Gardens Market you can shop, eat and relax with the beautiful backdrop of the luscious green heritage gardens and Brisbane River. The much-loved stallholders will still be there in the shade of the gardens’ canopy, and there will also be new exciting stalls as well as many more food and drink stalls.

The new markets will boast a selection of craft, fashion, jewellery, accessories, make-up, pottery, rugs and all manner of hidden delights in between. If you are in need of sustenance, make a day of it with breakfast and lunch options on offer with the likes of Vietnamese, Japanese and burger stalls. Great coffee and freshly squeezed juices will also be on hand, as well as refreshing gelato. Live bands, singers and instrumentalists will also add to the ambience of the day, as well as the riverside kids playground and park activities.

The Riverside Gardens Market is part of the collection of markets under the management of Brisbane’s market guru Peter Hackworth. Peter’s other markets include Kelvin Grove Village Markets, Boggo Road Markets and her collaboration on the Eat Street Markets. Head on down to the launch of the Riverside Gardens Market this Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and enjoy the cool change that the botanical location brings to the market.
