Attention, foodies! Everyone’s favourite food and wine festival Regional Flavours is returning to South Bank Parklands this year – but with an exciting new twist. Instead of a single weekend event, 2021 will see Regional Flavours serve up some of Australia’s most celebrated chefs and local producers across a delectable three-part event series from June to October. Kicking off the tastebud-tempting festival is Grazed and Grown, which is set to bloom in our city from June 18–20. Bring your appetite, because you’ll need it for this delicious event.

Regional Flavours’ first event of the year, Grazed and Grown, will shine a spotlight on our country’s unique landscape, homegrown makers and game-changing chefs. The jam-packed weekend launches with a special culinary event hosted by celebrity chef Alastair McLeod and beer brainiac Matt Kirkegaard. The dynamite duo will run event-goers through cooking demonstrations and talks with industry leaders – including Matt Sinclair, Josh Lopez, Will Cowper and more – who will delve into the importance of seasonal produce, food philosophy and sustainability.

Once your noggin has been filled with some fun food facts, you can fill your belly with delectable bites in The Marketplace, a food hall filled with local producers and artisans who come from within 250 kilometres of Brisbane – some even calling South Bank home. Along the riverfront you’ll find musicians playing live tunes, as well as a selection of flowing craft beers and cocktails. If you really want to go all out, upgrade your ticket and indulge in an exclusively catered Signature Event at River Quay, where some of Brisbane’s finest chefs will be plating up world-class fare – all made using local, seasonal and sustainable produce.

After Grazed and Grown, the festival will continue in August and October, allowing Brisbane food lovers the chance to experience our vibrant culinary landscape and witness the gastronomical prowess of chefs such as Paul West, Alanna Sapwell and Louis Tikaram. Regional Flavours will be highlighting the city’s rich multicultural diversity and cuisine at Global Fiesta from August 20–22, and will transform South Bank into a delicatessen haven celebrating wine, cheese, and chocolate for Providore Park from October 15–17Hungry for more? Tickets to Grazed and Grown will be available to purchase on Friday April 23. Head here to snap up yours.
