Redlands Rockabilly Revival revs up the entertainment

Grab the hair gel and don your leathers, the Redlands Rockabilly Revival is the best spot to take in some retro culture.

Proving rock and roll will never die, the inaugural Redlands Rockabilly Revival is taking place at the Cleveland Showgrounds on Sunday March 13. Featuring the flashiest rides, coolest bands and tastiest food, the festival celebrates everything retro and rockabilly. The sprawling grassy fields of the showgrounds will be turned into a makeshift car park for hundreds of shiny hot rods. The fleet will consist predominantly of pre-1970 hot rods, Rat Rods, Sleds, Muscle Cars and custom rides, as well as vintage motorcycles, bobbers and lowrider cycles.

The day will also include live music from a few renowned rockabilly acts including The Bellfuries from the United States, Showdown from Sugartown with Rusty Pinto, Lovejoy Surf, Twang and The ERT Trio. More than a dozen bombshells will be participating in the pinup parade, and a swag of artists will be exhibiting a range of lowbrow and custom artwork. Rounding out the festivities is a huge range of market stalls and a food village with plenty of shaded seating. Head to the Redlands Rockabilly Revival website for a full itinerary of events and details.
