Head east to the RedFest Redland Spring Festival

The idyllic setting of Moreton Bay will be the backdrop to celebrate the change of the seasons at RedFest Redland Spring Festival this weekend.

We get off easy in winter and cop it sweet in summer, but Brisbane’s perfect spring is certainly something to celebrate. Not-for-profit community group RedFest couldn’t agree more, so they’ll be celebrating the season with the RedFest Redland Spring Festival in Cleveland this weekend. Held in Norm Price Park in the Cleveland Showgrounds, the packed program of live music, theatre, workshops and entertainment is well worth the 25-minute drive east from Brisbane.

The annual music and cultural festival will run from Friday September 5 to Sunday September 7, from 5:00–9:00 pm Friday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Saturday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday. Hundreds of singers, dancers, poets and artists from around the globe will educate and entertain in The Jazz Club & Wine Bar, Concert Venue marquee, Folk Redlands marquee, Strawberry Plaza, two kids’ tents and The Arena. Littlies can run amuck in Sideshow Alley, with the famous strawberry eating competition, lantern parade and fireworks to hold their concentraion, as well as roaming performers throughout the park. Plenty of delicious body fuel will also be available, from the locally grown strawberries of the Devonshire teas to woodfired pizzas, bratwurst, poffertjes, wine tastings and coffee. Grab your ticket online and bring kids under the age of six along for free.
