Come ravers, come runners, come glowstick lovers for a community run that will literally light up the city. For a fair percentage of us, running five kilometres doesn’t sound like much fun at all. But hold the race on a custom-designed, riverside track and team it with audiovisuals, lights, DJs and a finishing dance party, and the prospect is actually tempting. The PUMA Glow Run will be lighting up the City Botanic Gardens from 5:30 pm on Saturday August 24, with runners clad in luminous outfits and baubled up to the nines with glowing necklaces and headbands. The course will start and end at the Riverstage, and loop around the Brisbane River. Runners can recharge in one of the Glow Zone dance tents before releasing every last ounce of energy at the finish line dance party.
