Live artists create new work for Performance Now
A unique group of artists have created new work examining the importance of live performance and the innovation that permeates the practice.
The QUT Art Museum is hosting a unique exhibition that investigates the nuance and ephemeral nature of live performance. The collected artists will showcase through their exhibited works how their mediums have benefitted by being recorded and documented in innovative ways.
Performance Now is a travelling exhibition that is co-organised by the Independent Curators International and PERFORMA, both based in New York. The artists being exhibited are some of the most notable creators in the global contemporary art scene and include names such as Marina Abramović, William Kentridge, Clifford Owens, Santiago Sierra plus many more.
The exhibition will be running from December 6 until March 1, 2015.
