MV Epicure launches on Brisbane River
A new event space now exists on the waters of Brisbane River, where river breezes abound and 360-degree views of the city’s towering skyline provide an magnificent setting for an intimate celebration or boisterous evening soiree.
Making the most of Brisbane’s spectacular city vista and the unique atmosphere of the Brisbane River, MV Epicure is a new luxury boat offering a one-of-a-kind space for special events. MV Epicure’s on-board chefs can tailor-make a range of food experiences for different styles of events, from moorish canapes to a three-course sit-down dinner.
Taking a seasonal and sustainable approach, MV Epicure is passionate about supporting local providores and only using the season’s best produce. Free-range poultry, eggs and meats are used wherever possible, and only seafood fished or farmed from Australian waters is sourced from local suppliers. Current menu highlights include seared Harvey Bay scallops served with spiced whitebait popcorn, poached blue swimmer crab with sauteed white and shiitake mushrooms, and rhubarb and almond cake with ginger-scented cream.
MV Epicure’s food philosophy also extends to the sourcing of speciality local dry goods such as nuts, grains, vinegars, as well as local mineral water, 100 percent Australian orange juice and fair-trade coffee.
