Lunar learning aplenty with Moons: Worlds of Mystery

Lunar learning aplenty with Moons: Worlds of Mystery

The Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium has unveiled their newest educational show, Moons: Worlds of Mystery – a glimpse at the unique celestial bodies that surround our neighbouring planets.

We earthlings tend to take the Moon for granted. Moonlight controls the tides, moonlight incites romance and moonlight inspires our imagination – but we tend to forget that our moon isn’t terribly unique.

Moons are a common celestial body that can be found throughout our solar system and many of our neighbouring planets have more than one. Each and every moon is unique, and many astronomers have made it their life’s work to examine each one.

Moons: Worlds of Mystery is the newest informative show currently running at the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium at the Mount Coot-ha Botanic Gardens. The show explores the differences between these miniature planets and the spectacular features that have been discovered. This educational and entertaining show is perfect for families looking to try something different these school holidays.
