Meraki Markets prepares to take over M&A Lane
Fortitude Valley is thriving with weekend activity and from August 20 the area will add another market to its tally when the Meraki Markets brings fashion, food and fun to the fore.
While there are plenty of choices across Brisbane for those looking for fresh produce, until now there has been limited options for avid fashion hunters at farmers markets. The Meraki Markets is the newest event to emerge onto the scene, promising brand-name fashion, lifestyle wares and gourmet treats. Successful and up-and-coming designers will be showcasing their wares at the market with low price points and exclusive ranges available only at the Meraki Markets. Some of the wares on sale will include earthy ceramics from Two Warm Hands, hand printed and woven home wares from The Woven Trail, minimalist photo frames from Corner Block Studio and fine jewellery from Two Plum Design and Lazurah.
In addition to the clothing, home decor and accessories, the Meraki Markets will also host boutique food stalls selling items like fresh bread, juices and fine coffee. Adding to the lively atmosphere, the Meraki Markets will also feature live music and free workshops for arts and crafts. The market will take place twice a month, on the first Saturday and third Thursday of each month, commencing at 4:00 pm on Thursday August 20. Entry is free, so if you are looking for something new, exciting and a little bit exclusive, do some shopping at the new Meraki Markets on Ann Street.
