Create change this August by hosting a Mater Breast ever Brunch

This August, friends, family, colleagues and community groups around Queensland will be getting together to host a Mater Breast ever Brunch to help raise much-needed funds for breast cancer research and support services.

If a leisurely morning tea with friends sounds like your idea of a good time, gather like-minded sweet tooths and host your own Mater Breast ever Brunch this August in support of Mater chicks in pink. Register online to receive your Host Kit in the mail, which will contain everything you need to plan the perfect brunch, including decorations and handy little tips. Ask your guests to bring along a donation on the day, and the money you raise will go towards funding vital support services for women with breast cancer. You might like to host a Mater Breast ever Brunch in honour of yourself or a loved one who has been touched by breast cancer – but even if you don’t have a direct connection to the cause, all money raised will make a massive difference.

The more money raised, the more support Mater chicks in pink will be able to provide to breast cancer patients as they undergo treatment. Support services include paying for a babysitter for a mother during her treatment and covering the cost of a specially fitted bra for women who have undergone surgery. Donations will also help fund inspiring services like Art Therapy, yoga classes and the ‘Mum, memories and me’ program, which helps terminally ill women create memory boxes for their children. By supporting Mater chicks in pink, you and your guests will also be investing in world-class research to fight for a cure and improve the way we treat cancer.

Pick a date, choose a venue such as your home, office, a local park or even a cafe, and invite your guests to bring along something sweet – you’ll find plenty of recipe ideas online. Register now to host your Mater Breast ever Brunch fundraiser this August and join the fight against breast cancer.
