Music fans who anxiously await timetable releases for every festival in fear of clashes can breathe a mighty sigh of relief this weekend thanks to a ‘one stage, no clashes’ policy from the organisers of the Maroochy Music & Visual Arts Festival. The first instalment of the annual festival will kick off at the Horton Park Golf Course in Maroochydore from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm this Saturday August 22. Live music will meet open-air visual art displays, specially curated stalls, delicious edibles, drinks and plenty of cosy couches dotted around the natural amphitheatre.

Headlined by internationally acclaimed electronic duo Flight Facilities, the live-music line-up boasts the likes of Gang of Youths, Alpine, Hermitude, The Kite String Tangle, Hiatus Kaiyote, DZ Deathrays, One Day and WAAX, while the visual arts program features Conrad Square, Thom Stuart, The Zookeeper, Bertie Blackman and more.
