Get lost in Museum of Brisbane’s new cosmic exhibition Man & Wah: CELESTON 2

We may not be able to travel to other countries at the moment, but it seems we can take an excursion to space (figuratively speaking, of course). So we can reach for the stars and discover the wonders of the universe, Museum of Brisbane is firing up the rockets with the launch of its new cosmic digital installation CELESTON 2, which has been created by Brisbane creative duo Man & Wah. If you’re ready to embark on an other-worldly journey, read on to find out more about this eye-catching exhibition …

Ready to transport museum-goers to another planet, CELESTON 2 extends on the works that local artists Man & Wah developed during Museum of Brisbane’s Artists @ Home residency program. Created during our city’s lockdown period, the spellbinding showcase combines a striking blend of audio, video and photographic material that centres around both cosmic and botanical worlds – you’ll see everything from colourful planets to springtime florals covering the walls of the museum.

The vibrant exhibition, which was part of the Ars Electronica 2020 Festival that happened in September, is Mah & Wah’s attempt to inspire reconnection with the dimensions of nature and the cosmos, elements that greatly influence the twins’ creative work and lives. To get a small taste of the digital garden, head to Mah & Wah’s Instagram page, or if you’re keen to explore CELESTON 2 between now and January 31, 2021, visit the Museum of Brisbane website to book your free ticket.
