If you’re the kind of person who has already put up their Christmas tree, has been waiting for Michael Bublé to emerge from his cave since July and been counting down the days until Santa’s arrival, then we have got some good (nay, great) news for you – the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols is returning to spread some festive cheer! A jolly collection of homegrown musical talent is set to take the stage to serenade you with merry carols on Saturday December 5.

Can you hear those sleigh bells ringing? It’s because the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols is rolling into Riverstage with a roster of stars performing your favourite classic carols. Hosted by Charli Robinson, this free family event will see some stellar singers and entertainers light up the big stage in this joyous and magical celebration of Christmas – all while raising money for this year’s charity partner, the Children’s Hospital Foundation. To continue the good vibes, there will be a bar stocking summertime sips and vendors slinging festive snacks throughout the afternoon and evening.

The jam-packed line-up of dynamite artists including Eurovision songstress Dami Im, star of Disney’s smash-hit musical Aladdin Graeme Isaako, soprano Mirusia and rockin’ Celtic band Murphy’s Pigs. The musical magic continues with acts like Bradley Daley, Angela Fabian, Milijana Nikolic, Rebecca Cassidy, La Forza, The 7 Sopranos, Jason McGregor, Tim McCallum, Sunflower, Luke Antony, Opera Queensland and Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, Camerata. Plus of course, the big man himself, Santa, will be making a merry appearance!

This year’s carols will be following a COVID Safe plan. The event is free but tickets will be strictly limited and are available from Tuesday 24 November at 10:00 am. Make sure to book with your mates as you will be provided a ticket with a seat number and row at the time of booking. If you do miss out on a ticket, don’t fret – all of the action from this year’s event will be live-streamed on Facebook and VisitBrisbane.
